Colour: Dark magenta in colour with blood red/black olive hues.
Nose: Lifted, perfumed, powerful and alluring. Lifted aromas of black and red stewed fruits with nutty, smoky oak nuances.
Palate: Wonderfully rich, ripe, complex, elegant and long. The upfront palate shows ripe fruit flavours of blood plum and overtly ripe cherries with hints of blackcurrant. The mid palate is wildly complex with spiced of nutmeg, Chinese five spice, sweet soy, black pepper and smoke. The back palate is long, soft, rounded and clean showing a cashew nut like oak complexity.
Cellaring: 8 – 10 years.
Food: Rare roast beef with Yorkshire pudding, Kangaroo kebabs straight from the BBQ, Hunter Belle Cheese Co. Old Smoky Cheddar.
